What have we been up to? Driving a motorhome to the Sydney Equestrian Centre for an interstate concierge colleague whose client needed the vehicle while showing horses.

Job of the week: pick up a motor home from out past the airport, drive to the Sydney Equestrian Centre via M5, get an uber to Fairfeild then train back to base. Total time? Five hours!

- arborist arranged to inspect large tree overhanging house

- prepared a full inventory (with photos) for a client’s rental property
- interstate vehicle relocation quoted, booked and delivered
- valuable one-off ceramic repaired after being shattered into eight pieces
- managed emergency carpet drying after Sydney’s November deluge
- found best fireplace restorer in Sydney, to fix three heritage fireplaces
- let a client into his house when he’d locked himself out (we have keys for most clients, to speed up access for tradies etc)
- did an emergency grocery shop for a bed-ridden client
- had clients’ carpets steam cleaned while they were out of town
- arranged airport transport, groceries, baby gear, winery tour and more for a family visiting Sydney from East Coast USA
- packed up a kitchen prior to the builders coming in to install a new one
- supervised multiple house moves (Sydney to Canberra, Elizabeth Bay to Surry Hills, Paddington to Darlinghurst, Glebe to Coogee…)
- purchased a golf club for a client to give to a supplier – and delivered it
- fixed a broken dishwasher filter without needing a service call
- installed a retractable umbrella on a very sunny roof terrace
- Provided apartment security checks and plant watering for clients overseas
- two apartments painted over the Christmas period, while owners out of town
- attended open homes to narrow down apartment choices for an out-of-town client
- changed all the locks after a set of keys was lost
- drafted proposal for Strata company for apartment renovations
- got a plumber in to fix a broken gutter – before a storm, not after
- received new dining table, chairs and lounge furniture
- looked after a very cool dinner and party for 50 – in the bush
- managed the installation of a six metre long wall garden by Sydney’s best greenwall company
- delivered dry cleaning; sorted shoe repairs; and tailoring; banked some cheques
- found an acoustic engineer to advise on reducing noise in an apartment – 50% reduction
- Bought the food for two dinner parties for a stretched client; posted birthday presents
- Found hirers for spare carparks
- Sorted faulty appliance for recall and repair; sold old appliances, and bought new
- Sourced items for a costume party on a cruise liner
- put a dent in a few to-do lists!
